Our Doctors

CAROL K. LEE, M.D.

Dr. Carol Lee has been in practice in San Francisco for over 20 years.  She is a highly-regarded member of the pediatric community in San Francisco and pioneered the provision of modern standard-of-care medicine to our city's Chinese speaking community.  She has received numerous accolades from city health care organizations over the years.  Recently, she was inducted into the Best DoctorsTM list, an unsolicited listing comprised of less than 5% of the nation's physicians, selected by their peers; membership on the Best DoctorsTM list cannot be solicited or in any way purchased.

After attending St. Paul's Co-Educational College in Hong Kong, Dr. Lee moved to the United States,  graduating with a degree in biochemistry from UC Berkeley before attending medical school at New York University School of Medicine.  She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of San Francisco.  She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She lives in San Francisco with her husband and three children. She greatly enjoys traveling the world with her family.


AMY LIOU, M.D.

Dr.Amy Liou will be joining our practice starting August 1, 2017, after finishing her pediatrics residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California. She moved from Taiwan to Maryland as a child and attended Cornell University before completing medical school at the University of Maryland. She speaks and writes Mandarin fluently as her first language as well as Taiwanese.

In addition to research in basic medical sciences, she has also participated in clinical reseach in infant visual development.

Aside from taking care of her patients, Dr. Liou enjoys spending time iwth her family and travels extensively.




BRENT M. LEM, M.D.

Dr. Brent Lem joined our practice this Fall after working in both outpatient and hospital settings in Southern California. Originally from San Jose, he attended college at the University of California at Los Angeles before completing his medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. He returned to LA to complete his pediatrics residency at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Hospital.

Dr. Lem is Board Cerfified in Pediatrics and is particularly interested in adolescent sports medicine issues and outpatient management of formerly inpatient aspects of pediatrics care. He brings a wealth of diverse practice experience to our patients.

Dr. Lem is an avid—no, rabid—sports fan and a die-hard Bruins fan. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog Bear.
